Heads Up

 What: NIGHTWOOD GROUNDSWELL FESTIVAL of new works by women.

 Where: Tapestry/Nightwood New Work Studio, 55 Mill Street. The Cannery Building Studio 315.

 When: Feb. 21 – 26, 2011 at 7:30 pm.

 Why: Playwrights (established and new) get a chance to show their work. This festival has showcased some pretty impressive plays.

What: Canadian Stage 2011-2012 season announcement.

Where: Lobby of the Bluma Appel Theatre

When: Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011 at Noon.

Why: This has been a rocky first season for Artistic Director Matthew Jocelyn.
It should be interesting to see what he has in store of the coming season.

What: SANDRA SHAMAS IN WIT’S END III: Love Life

Where: The Wintergarden Theatre

When: Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, 8:00 pm

Why: It’s Sandra Shamas. Iconoclastic, sharp, funny.

What: A MIDSIMMER NIGHT’S DREAM

Where: The Young Centre for the Performing Arts: Distillery District.

When: Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011 at 7:30 om

Why: Soulpepper has been really uneven in their Shakespeare productions.
How will they do with this one?
