Haley McGee, writer and performer of the quirky, funny and touching show OH MY IRMA, won the Best Production Award for 2011, Nov. 20, at the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York City. There were 77 productions covering various genres over the five week festival.
OH MY IRMA was seen at Theatre Passe Muraille last January. I feel terrible for those people who missed it. Perhaps you’ll get another chance.
Erin Shields won this year’s Governor General Award for Best Drama for her wonderful play, IF WE WERE BIRDS . It played at Tarragon Theatre last year, and I feel terrible for those people who missed that one too.
