Sneak Preview Review: YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU

by Lynn on April 27, 2012

in The Passionate Playgoer

At the Young Centre for the Performing Arts. Produced by Soulpepper Theatre Company. Written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman. Directed by Joseph Ziegler.

YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU is a sweet, wise play, that is neither old-fashioned nor past its best by date. It’s a gentle tweak of the nose of those souls who are blinkered by money, propriety, and lack of fun.

And it’s being given a smart, funny, open-hearted production by director Joseph Ziegler and his accomplished cast.

Full review on CIUT FRIDAY MORNING tomorrow, Friday, April 27 between 9 am and 10 am on CIUT 89.5 FM

Also on the show, I will interview David Ferry and Mitchell Cushman about their upcoming production of THE AGONY AND ECSTACY OF STEVE JOBS written by Mike Daisey. Mr. Daisey has been in a whole lot of trouble recently when it was revealed that in fact part of his show was not truthful, and he made up some of the facts.
