These worthy events are worth your attention:

Metamorphosis: A Viral Trilogy,

Written by André Alexis, this explores the pandemic through the audio diaries of three women; in in her teens, one in her 30s and one at 86-years-old.

The initiative is being offered in a partnership with TO LIVE, Summerworks and Canadian Stage.

It’s sensitively directed by Ross Manson (Artistic Director of Volcano) with wonderful sound design by Debashis Sinha.

It is being released in weekly instalments (you can catch up with the first two by clicking the links below) with the last instalment ‘dropping’ August 31.

Lucretia In Quarantine is about 13-year-old Lucretia (Bahai Wilson), who’s taking care of her younger sister while their mother is away taking care of her own mother. This has already been released but you can still listen to it.

Kerri Wonders is about 30-year-old Kerri (Becky Johnson) who is given a little black pill and her whole perception of her world changes drastically.

Nella At 86. Nella (Diana Leblanc) is 86-years-old and living in a retirement home. How will she and her neighbours cope. This episode arrives Monday (August 31).

The first two episodes are terrific. I so look forward to the last one.

Here for Now Virtual Festival  is held over in Stratford, Ont. one week.  Live performances of short plays are performed on the back lawn of the Bruce Hotel in Stratford. I loved every show I saw there.

Well worth checking them out. See my reviews at www.slotkinletter.com
