At the Young Centre for the Performing Arts. Written by Lee MacDougall. Directed by Stuart Hughes.
Presented by Soulpepper.
HIGH LIFE is a high octane play about four low-lifes who are full of their own hilarious charm. The story of how they plan a bank robbery, and seem to live for the excitement of ‘the thing’ gives the play its richness. MacDougall writes dialogue that zings through the air; situations that grip you from the start; and characters who are both endearing and scary. Stuart Hughes direction is as tight as a newly washed pair of jeans and just as gripping.
It’s a terrific play and production.
