A multi-layered play about body-image, how culture has defined it, and family history. Swaby explores this specifically from a black perspective and therefore makes a universal statement that we all can appropriate in our own lives.
The play is poetic, hard-hitting, appropriately uncomfortable when referencing history, and moving as a family story.
The production is sensitively directed by Philip Akin and beautifully acted by Akosua Amo-Adem, Kaleb Alexander and Meghan Swaby.
